On the afternoon of November 24, the Automation Machine Builder Award – AMBA 2026 officially commenced at ETEK Automation Solutions JSC.
The program consisted of two key activities: A tour of the ETEK Center for Technology & Engineering, and The Opening Ceremony held in the main hall. These activities provided students with a practical and holistic view of how automation technologies are applied in real-world production environments.
The event proudly welcomed representatives from universities and colleges nationwide, members of the Jury, industry experts, media agencies, and representatives of the organizing and sponsoring units: Tan Phat ETEK, ETEK, ABB, KUKA, Bosch Rexroth, Cognex, SMC, Advantech, Delta Electronics, JobChoice, and Vasi.
AMBA 2026 marks the participation of 61 teams — more than 300 students from 27 universities and colleges across the country.
During the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the official problem statement, introduced technical guidelines from the Jury, shared insights into the semiconductor industry, and facilitated technology-sharing sessions from accompanying enterprises.
Mr. Tuân emphasized that the semiconductor industry is a global strategic sector that requires automation systems with exceptional precision and extremely high cleanliness standards. AMBA 2026 is therefore designed to help students:
Deepen their understanding of automation in semiconductor manufacturing
Develop engineering thinking and system-oriented problem-solving
Access real industrial equipment from leading global technology brands
He also expressed his hope that AMBA will serve as a transformative journey where students grow, gain confidence, and become well-prepared for modern industrial environments.
The Opening Ceremony marked the official beginning of the AMBA 2026 season.
