ETEK participates in providing training equipment solutions for the electrical engineering profession at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This initiative is part of the Higher Engineering Education Project (SAHEP) sponsored by the World Bank.
The Electrical – Electronics Department at Hanoi University of Science and Technology is one of the most important and prestigious departments. It specializes in electronic engineering, telecommunications, industrial electricity, automation, and various applications of information technology.
The department offers diverse study programs such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology, along with specialized fields within the electrical and electronic technology industry.
Students in the Electrical – Electronics Department are not only trained in specialized knowledge but are also encouraged to participate in research projects, practical applications, and collaborations with businesses and organizations both domestically and internationally.
The SAHEP project at Hanoi University of Science and Technology has a total investment of $50 million, with implementation from 2018 to 2022. The project director stated, "SAHEP will accompany the development of Hanoi University of Science and Technology through investments in infrastructure, classrooms, lecture halls, and laboratories. The new equipment for students and faculty is expected to support the improvement of teaching and learning quality. This is a top priority for both Hanoi University of Science and Technology and SAHEP."
ETEK is the awarded contractor for the SAHEP project and is a pioneering entity in providing training equipment solutions for technical education institutions nationwide.
During the project implementation, the Project Director and the University Leadership have specific requirements for the ETEK team in terms of design and project execution.
It must be a reputable entity, capable of meeting construction deadlines to ensure project completion within the set goals.
These requirements aim to create the best practical learning environment for students studying electrical and electronic engineering, ensuring safety and quality throughout practical work and research.
Throughout the collaboration with the Project Director and the University Leadership of the Electrical – Electronics Department at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, as well as during the research, design, and project completion phases, ETEK encountered numerous challenges and difficulties. However, they made every effort to overcome these challenges:
Each step taken by ETEK was cautious and thoroughly reviewed, from ideation to continuous review meetings, adjusting designs based on requirements, and finalizing specific solutions to plan for project completion. This meticulous approach was the key to ETEK overcoming real-world challenges.
ETEK successfully researched and designed several training labs within the project, including:
Electronic Circuit Laboratory
Power Electronics and Conversion Laboratory
Control System Laboratory
Measurement and Sensor Technology Laboratory
Electric Machines and Power Conversion Laboratory
Mechanical Execution Mechanism Laboratory
Control Engineering Fundamentals Laboratory
Thesis 1, 2 (Mechanical and Electronic System Design)
Practice and Manufacturing Workshop for Technical Vocational Training
