DEVELOPING PRACTICAL ASSEMBLY SKILLS – PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION OF AUTOMATION ENGINEERS

On June 16, 2026, K29 Mechatronics students continued their practical assembly training as part of ETEK’s enterprise-based training program.

As one of the program’s key learning modules, the training is designed to strengthen students’ hands-on capabilities, develop technical thinking, and familiarize them with the workflows commonly found in modern manufacturing environments. By working directly with industrial equipment and automation systems, students can apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Gaining Hands-on Experience with Automation System Assembly

Assembly plays a critical role in mechatronics and automation, directly affecting the accuracy, stability, and overall performance of industrial systems. Therefore, practical experience with real equipment is essential for building the competencies required of future engineers.

At ETEK, students are exposed to the technical standards, procedures, and working practices commonly used in manufacturing facilities. Through hands-on activities, they gradually develop a professional mindset and gain valuable experience in adapting to industrial working environments.

Building Practical Skills and Technical Thinking

During the training session, students focused on a range of practical activities, including:

  • Assembling components and subassemblies on real machine systems
  • Inspecting the accuracy and alignment of assembled parts
  • Performing adjustments according to technical requirements
  • Using assembly tools and supporting equipment effectively
  • Developing analytical and troubleshooting skills for technical issues
  • Enhancing teamwork and coordination in a production environment

Through continuous practice, students not only improve their technical skills but also cultivate precision, responsibility, and a systematic approach to problem-solving—qualities that are increasingly important in today’s digital manufacturing landscape.

Practical Training as the Foundation for Workforce Development

As manufacturers continue to seek graduates who can quickly adapt to the workplace, industry-oriented training programs have become more important than ever.

Guided by the philosophy of learning through practice, ETEK creates opportunities for students to engage directly with industrial technologies, production processes, and real engineering tasks. This approach enables learners to develop both technical expertise and professional competencies that are highly valued by employers.

Practical training modules such as this provide students with a strong foundation for future careers in mechatronics, automation, and smart manufacturing.

ETEK – Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Industry

With a comprehensive hands-on training system and a team of experienced industry professionals, ETEK remains committed to supporting students in their professional development journey while contributing to the growth of a highly skilled workforce for the future of modern industry.
