K29 Mechatronics Students Begin Industrial Machine Safety Training at ETEK

As part of ETEK’s enterprise-based Mechatronics Training Program, K29 students participated in the Design Thinking course from May 19 to May 22, 2026, with a specialized module focused on Industrial Machine Safety.

The training was delivered by Mr. Tran Le Linh, Head of Development and Quality Assurance at ETEK. The program was designed to help students establish a strong engineering mindset, enhance their understanding of safety in modern manufacturing environments, and develop a systematic approach to industrial automation.

Machine Safety – A Fundamental Element of Modern Manufacturing

As industries continue to embrace automation and smart manufacturing, machine safety has become an increasingly critical factor in the design, operation, and optimization of production systems. Beyond being a technical requirement, industrial safety is now recognized as a core standard for creating efficient, sustainable, and reliable manufacturing environments.

At ETEK, machine safety is not treated as a standalone theoretical subject. Instead, it is integrated directly into the principles of automation system design and operation. This approach helps students understand the engineering responsibilities involved in developing and managing industrial systems.

K29 Students Develop Practical Design Thinking Skills

Throughout the training module, students explored key topics related to industrial safety, including:

  • Industrial machine safety standards
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Safety principles in automation systems
  • Safety-oriented design methodologies
  • Safety management procedures in real manufacturing environments

By combining theoretical knowledge with practical industry perspectives, the program helps students develop professional working habits, improve their risk evaluation capabilities, and gain a deeper understanding of safety requirements in modern industrial operations.

According to ETEK representatives, introducing machine safety training at an early stage not only familiarizes students with industrial standards but also contributes to building a sustainable engineering mindset that supports long-term professional development.

ETEK – Where Learning Becomes Industry Practice in Automation

The Design Thinking course is one of the foundational modules within ETEK’s educational philosophy: “ETEK – Where Learning Becomes Industry Practice in Automation.”

Through its enterprise-integrated training model, ETEK enables students to go beyond classroom knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of industrial environments, production workflows, and real-world engineering requirements.

By continuously delivering industry-oriented training programs, ETEK reinforces its commitment to supporting educational institutions in developing highly skilled technical talent and addressing the growing demand for automation and digital transformation in the Industry 4.0 era.
