As part of “Hoa Lac’s New Day 2026,” ETEK joined Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) in inaugurating a Smart Factory Training Center at VNU’s Practical Training Center. The initiative supports the integration of industrial automation and smart manufacturing technologies into technical education, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial applications.
The training space features a range of industrial equipment and technology solutions, covering key areas such as industrial electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatics, automated material handling, and production monitoring and management.
The Smart Factory Training Center brings together different categories of training equipment, providing learners with opportunities to explore the technologies and operating principles used in modern manufacturing environments.
FATS (Factory Automation Training Solutions) is ETEK’s factory automation training solution, designed to introduce learners to integrated production models and the relationships between functional stations within an automated line.
The system supports practical learning in factory automation and production operations, helping learners understand how equipment and processes can work together within a manufacturing environment.
The training center features TV displays presenting MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), introducing learners to the roles of production execution management, industrial monitoring, and data acquisition in modern factories.
An additional TV display presents the FATS training program, showcasing the training solution and its associated learning content.
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are used in industrial environments to support the movement of materials and goods. Their presence in the training center introduces learners to automated material handling and the role of internal logistics in smart manufacturing.
The industrial electrical training workbench supports practical learning in electrical equipment, wiring, and industrial electrical control. These foundational skills are essential for understanding and working with more advanced industrial automation systems.
The conveyor training system integrated with a Bosch Rexroth PLC provides a practical environment for exploring programmable control and automated material movement.
It helps learners understand how programmable controllers interact with mechanical equipment to perform automated tasks in a production process.
The desktop PLC training units provide a hands-on environment for learning PLC wiring, programming, and the principles of automatic control. Their workstation-based design supports practical instruction and the development of essential industrial automation skills.
The pneumatic training workbench introduces learners to pneumatic components, circuit operation, and the application of compressed-air technology in industrial systems. Pneumatics is an important technical foundation in industrial automation and mechatronics education.
By bringing different categories of industrial training equipment into one learning environment, the Smart Factory Training Center supports a broad range of practical activities. Learners can explore foundational technologies such as industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and pneumatics, as well as automated conveyor systems, AGVs, and production monitoring and management technologies.
This integrated learning environment is designed to help learners develop equipment-handling skills, understand operating principles, and build a systems-oriented understanding of modern manufacturing.
